Grass-fed tallow, beeswax and castor oil have always been the base of my balms.
Tallow is an excellent source of natural fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as fat-soluble activators, which are found in animal fats and promote skin health.
The beeswax is moisturizing and works as a barrier to lock in moisture and prevent damage. But this cream takes it to the next level with castor oil and hyaluronic acid! They’re all the rage in skincare these days and for good reason. They’re effective! This product takes my super effective balm recipe, whipped to make it creamy, and amplifies it with the addition of Madagascar vanilla bean slow-infused castor oil and hyaluronic acid for uber moisture and anti-aging benefits.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in skin, joints, and eyes. It is popular for its anti-aging benefits, improving skin texture and elasticity, encouraging cell regeneration, and reducing wrinkles and pigmentation.
I then add frankincense and patchouli oils for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and healing qualities. Patchouli is good for dry, cracked, and acne prone skin due to its antifungal and antibacterial properties. It is also said to aid in skin cell regeneration, helping to heal scars and minimize wrinkles, leaving it brighter and more youthful. One study on mice even found that those treated with patchouli oil before exposure to UV rays were less wrinkled and had MORE collagen content!
Can be used all over, but especially for your face, neck, décolletage, backs of hands, or on the body for stretch mark prevention and healing.
